Wayfinding for The National Museum Extension
When Raed Abillama Architects commissioned me to develop a simple wayfinding system for the National Museum Extension in Beirut, the project quickly evolved into a rich exploration of design, history, and craft. This was about creating a simple system that complements the museum’s architecture and honors its cultural significance.
The collaboration opened up meaningful discussions around typography, materials, and production techniques, ensuring that every element served both form and function. From the choice of typeface to the tactile feel of the final signs, every detail was thoughtfully considered. Neon National played an integral role, bringing expertise in fabrication and installation, ensuring the vision was executed with precision from start to finish.
