“Peekaboo” is a playful cardboard gadget that covers the camera on computer monitors, adding a touch of personality to your daily visual space. This project was commissioned by a Montreal-based advertising agency to help their clients increase privacy during video calls.

We drew inspiration from landmarks in the client’s cities and included some inspiring phrases for tough days.

What if we could give people a bit of privacy with a bit more fun? Or add a personal touch to it?

We wanted to send the clients something that would make them smile.

We kept things simple and functional. We worked on multiple prototypes. We laser cut. We burnt cardboard. We took measurements, made adjustments, and then made some more adjustments. We glued and fitted corrugated pieces together until we were happy with the result. We had fun!
